An international team of scientists led by Gary Goldberg, PhD, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM), has found that a protein from the seeds of a plant used for centuries in traditional medicines may be able to halt the spread of melanoma, a lethal form of skin cancer.
On average, melanoma kills one person nearly every hour in the USA, and many more in other countries. The American Cancer Society, with its usual breathtaking lies, claims the overall 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 91%. For localized melanoma, the 5-year survival rate is 98%.
Now there may be a solution; a very simple solution at that.
In fact, this new remedy kills or blocks the growth of many other cancers too.
But melanoma is particularly dismal because it kills very fast and, apart from maybe Abnoba’s homeopathics (Quercus) there is no specific treatment; only the general anti-cancer measures I give in my book Cancer Research Secrets.
The remedy in question comes from the seeds of a legume tree — Maackia amurensis — that is native to parts of Asia.
References to Maackia being used medicinally can be found in ancient Chinese documents that date back more than 400 years. Dr. Goldberg and his colleagues believe that MASL, a specific component found in the plant’s seeds, interacts with a receptor called podoplanin (PDPN) that is carried by many types of cancer cells.
This is wild, because the PDPN receptor is what promotes tumor invasion and metastasis to other parts of the body! PDPN allows tumor cells to break out of their microenvironment, invade new areas and metastasize. (metastasis is what causes the vast majority of cancer deaths).
In other words, MASL from the Maackia seeds blocks cancers from doing what cancers do that is most dangerous: spreading to other parts of the body.
But according to Dr Goldberg, that’s not all. MASL not only significantly reduces cell migration and metastasis, it also inhibits cancer cell growth.
MASL can effectively suppress the growth of lung, breast, prostate, colon, and brain cancer cells that are often resistant to current therapies.
Amazingly, MASL works at non-toxic doses and levels requires to inhibit tumor growth had no noticeable side effects at doses necessary to inhibit cancer cell growth and migration. Moreover, it can be taken orally. This is good news indeed.
