I’m not against vaccination, as regular readers will know. I’m just against useless and dangerous vaccination.
Even dangerous vaccines, such as that for rabies, have a place, where the disease is hideous and the protection worth the risk. The rabies vaccine does work! If you want to know what hydrophobia looks like (terror of water; one of the symptoms of rabies, see this short video on YouTube:
But what about mumps? Hardly a deadly disease in fit children. The worrisome complication is orchitis (inflamed testicles), which can lead to male sterility.
Then, the vaccine isn’t notorious (like measles, pertussis and flu). But what’s the point if it doesn’t work?
A recent study published in The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) reveals that a large proportion of children affected by a mumps outbreak in 2009 had already been vaccinated for the condition in accordance with recommended government guidelines.
The study investigated 3,502 children who developed mumps between June 28, 2009, and June 27, 2010. Nearly one-third of the cases were between the ages of 13 and 17.
After confirming 1,648 cases of infection using clinical specimens, the research team that compiled the study determined that 89 percent of all those who contracted mumps as a result of the outbreak had already been vaccinated at least twice for mumps, presumably with the controversial measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) combination vaccine that has been implicated in causing gastrointestinal disorders and autism. Another 8 percent of the group had reportedly received only one dose of the mumps vaccine.
In other words 97 percent of the children had had at least one vaccination.
Of course defendants of the procedure would say one vaccination was not enough (no real logic to that statement, but we’ll let it pass). It still leaves us with the fact that 9 out of 10 of the victims of this outbreak had had proper, scheduled vaccination against mumps.
What’s interesting—and this would be missed by most reviewers—is that the admission is quite “clean” and unadorned with B*S*. See, typically, what happens in these cases is that kids who get the disease are conveniently transferred to the “unvaccinated” category, because it is assumed the vaccine “didn’t take”! It’s a laughable scam but it’s been going around for over a century.
There’s a great booklet by Victorian MD Walter Hadwen for download on my website. He hated Edward Jenner (inventor of modern vaccination therapy) with a vengeance; you can tell from his fiery text!
It’s an amusing and revealing book.
