Vaccination Does Work. Let’s Talk About Polio

Keith Scott-Mumby

Despite the continuous storm of ignorant criticisms, the vaccination principle does work. I got cholera when I went to Sri Lanka to help after the 2006 Indian Ocean tsunami. Protection only lasts 6 months but I wish I had taken a shot before I went (remember the heavy arm from that?) Pasadena was in uproar […] The post Vaccination Does Work. Cops Out Of Control Or Rotten Youth?

Keith Scott-Mumby

By the time they’re old enough to vote, roughly one in three Americans has had at least one criminal arrest. Does that mean a rotten youth here? Or is it cops that are out of control? By age 23, an estimated 33 percent — and perhaps as many as 41 percent of young adults — […]

Still Believe in Antibiotics? Ha, Better Read This

Keith Scott-Mumby

Death by Sepsis Despite the widespread belief that antibiotics still work, even if not a good idea, almost a quarter of a million people a year die in the USA alone from widespread sepsis. The best modern antibiotics didn’t save them. That’s a LOT of people. Worldwide, that figure rises to tens of millions of people a year, according to the Global Sepsis Alliance (GSA). That makes sepsis the likely leading cause of death today, according to Konrad Reinhart, M.D., Chairman of the GSA and director of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine, University of Jena, Germany. The fact is, sepsis kills regardless of age, ethnicity, location and access to care. It strikes swiftly and strikes hard. Antibiotics are failing. No new ones are coming along or ever likely to. “Developing new therapies for sepsis has been particularly challenging, with more than 25 unsuccessful drug trials,” says Jonathan S. Boomer, of the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis. 750,000 Americans each year contract sepsis and 225,00 die. That’s almost one third. The problem is the intense inflammatory response that has become poetically christened the ‘cytokine storm.’ Patients with sepsis may present with fever, shock, altered mental status, and organ dysfunction. It’s all due to bacteria running riot in the patient’s body.

Fish Really Is Good For The Brain Like Momma Said

Keith Scott-Mumby

This Oregon brain study is a very strong study indeed, despite the low numbers enrolled, showing that nutrition is a key issue for dementia. We know that but it’s time that orthodox colleagues woke up to it. Researchers identified three ways to relate dementia to diet—so called nutritional biomarker patterns (NBPs). Those with blood rich […]

Stem Cell Replacement Safety Concern

Keith Scott-Mumby

If you follow my writings, you’ll know I am a thorn in the side of those claiming to offer “stem cell therapy”. It’s a con by crooks. Stay well away from it. In the early years, it was cells harvested from aborted Russian embryos, which is disgusting. Latterly, we are encouraged that growing a person’s own stem cells and making new hearts, kidneys etc., is the way to go. But it is still way to early for this to be offered commercially. Only greedy and dishonest people would offer to do it. Safety is just one of the issues but a major one. Now a report published just a few weeks ago has shown the potential dangers. Stem cell lines grown in culture appear to mutate and gain a strong growth and multiplication potential. Not a bad thing, you might think, for organ replacement. But in fact it is dangerous; that’s all that cancer cells are—runaway growth and multiplication cells.

Burn Boomers For Energy?

Keith Scott-Mumby

This sort of appeals: the idea that I might be useful after I’m dead! I am hot stuff when I am alive, so why not? The city of Durham in England is installing a special crematorium, designed to burn corpses to generate electricity. Apparently, we can get as much 150 kilowatt-hours of juice from a […]

Hack Journalist Tries To Bring Down One Of The Best Alternative Remedies Known To Man

Keith Scott-Mumby

Corny hack writer Ms. Trine Tsouderos of the Chicago Tribune is a pretty lame journalist (and of course the incompetent editor in question who published her ham writings is also to blame), raking over old issues, claiming that the infamous TACT trial investigating the value of chelation therapy is somehow wicked, should be dropped and (she NOT being a medical doctor) claiming all sorts of dangers for this contentious therapy. The truth is she has found nothing new. Her “journalism” (unfair to real journalists) covers only issues that have been raised, reviewed and then passed upon by more qualified judges than her. Why does the hack think she knows more than a medical review body that has investigated all the problems she has “revealed”? Just follow the money. The fact is, this trial was almost brought down by conventional cardiology and cardiac surgeons and their slime lackeys in the media. They have a multi-billion dollar scam going. All science proves that by-pass, stents, etc are a worthless solution to vascular health problems and it is them that should be dropped.
