Would You Believe Drug Trials Do Not Look At Safety?

Keith Scott-Mumby

It’s a bit hard to swallow but manufacturers are so busy scrambling to get their product approved, they carry out the fastest and shakiest tests that could possibly be considered “legal” (but not scientific). Trials are so short that safety issues never show. Well, hardly ever. When they do, the drug manufacturers just suppress it. Yet again Merck is in the frame for lying and covering up the fact that Vioxx (rofecoxib) kills. Why are the directors of this organization still walking the streets instead of being in jail for manslaughter, at least? It has emerged through independent investigation that the fact that Vioxx increased risk for heart attack, stroke and death, were known for years before the drug’s voluntary withdrawal from the market in 2004.

Swine Flu Truth Is Dead

Keith Scott-Mumby

I hate politics but my beloved profession of healing is now dragged so firmly into the ring with dirty fighters, it’s hard to avoid it. We know that in Feb 2009 Baxter released a genocidal strain of flu vaccine, designed to start a world pandemic. Baxter apologized and claimed it was a “mistake”. Simply untenable and false. It would have required hundreds of people making the same mistake and violating strict security procedures. Significantly, Baxter has refused to say how this “accident” took place. We also know that a terrifying outbreak of some plague in the Ukraine, which has infected over a million and killed hundreds. You may not know that in August (weeks before the outbreak) a microbiologist called Joseph Moshe went public and stated that the Baxter lab in the Ukraine was a cover for a bioweapons facility and that a deliberate virulent plague would be released (this is documented). If you doubt it, then why was Moshe gassed, tazered and dragged off the streets of Los Angeles, with absurd accusations that he threatened to blow up the White House?

Alcohol Reduces Men’s Heart Risk

Keith Scott-Mumby

One of the big problems with so-called “scientists” is that they follow the scientific method but not the scientific speak. It’s so common to find that facts state a particular case and then the scientists contradict it—because they have some problem accepting the data. So there is the pretense of science. People are fooled into believing they are being “scientific”, when in fact they are just resorting to personal opinions, at variance with the proven facts. As an example consider this new study from Spain, showing that alcohol reduces death by heart disease by up to 54%–and that’s from HEAVY drinking. Yet they still insist that nobody should drink and “other studies” show alcohol kills. Why shouldn’t people adopt alcohol? If their science is worth a spit, drinking saves and enhances lives, for heaven’s sake.

forget swine flu worry about resistant bacteria

Keith Scott-Mumby

Forget swine flu. It’s trivial at the side of resistant bacteria deaths. As of Nov 6th the total still hasn’t reached 1,000 in the US, despite the continuing media hysteria [http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/updates/us/]. Deaths from resistant bacteria run in the 10,000s. MRSA alone killed 19,000 in 2005, the latest year for which I can find official US figures (it is now much higher, of course). Now Clostridium difficile has joined the fray. It’s name says it all. It’s difficult to control and it’s antibiotic-resistant form is now killing 5,000 people a year in the USA alone. According to a report (November 1st 2009) one strain of MRSA is five times more lethal than what has gone before. The mortality is 50%, compared to 11% for the “normal” MRSA. Why aren’t the newspapers and TV programs screaming about this? This is NOW! 50/50 is horrendous odds. Like Russian roulette with 3 bullets in the gun.

sudden memory loss after sex

Keith Scott-Mumby

OK, I don’t normally share secrets of my intimate private life with the public. But—you know me—wherever there is a lesson to be gleaned and it does somebody some good, somewhere, then I’m right there. A few weeks ago I had an alarming episode that doctors call “transient global amnesia” (TGA). It’s sudden but temporary memory loss following some strenuous or stressful event. In my case it came on after passionate sex with my beloved wife. All of a sudden, I couldn’t remember what we were doing or why. I knew who I was but wasn’t sure about the lady with me! For several hours I was quite confused about recent events and couldn’t get a grasp on things. I remember shopping at the local supermarket but not what we bought. It may result from the deactivation of the brain’s temporal lobes and/or thalamus (the part of the brain that serves as a center for the relay of sensory information). Usually occurring in otherwise healthy persons, TGA triggers memory loss from external stresses such as strenuous exertion, high levels of anxiety, sexual intercourse, immersion in hot or cold water, and other similar conditions.

Simple tips for neck and low back pain

Keith Scott-Mumby

The concierge’s wife has back pain due to a prolapsed inter-vertebral disc (a “slipped” disc). Then, I woke up this morning with a stiff neck, due a poor sleeping posture (and a dose of dairy in the form of ice cream last night!) It got me to thinking I should write a little bit about […]
