Lack of Iodine Can Lower IQ 15 Points or More

Keith Scott-Mumby

Talk About Food For The Mind and Brain! You may remember an insulting word: cretin. We called people we considered stupid that but, as kids, we never knew why it was bad to be a cretin. It’s actually not just an insult but a real medical term; or was. A cretin was a child who […] The post Lack of Iodine Can Lower IQ 15 Points or More appeared first on Dr. Keith Scott-Mumby.

The Third Age is Here – Can You Control How You Age?

Keith Scott-Mumby

Eventually we all reach that point. When you’re a child, you can’t wait for a birthday to arrive. You’ll even add half a year on to your age when people ask how old you are, all in your rush to grow up. As the years progress, the time arrives when you finally realize enough is […]

Right-Left Brain Myth

Keith Scott-Mumby

We all love the metaphor of right and left brain thinking but I’ve been pointing out for years that it’s just not true. Everyone uses both sides, all the time. Women who speak (no, fill in your own joke here…) are using their left brain, not their right brain. Men who visualize how things could look are using their right brain, not their supposedly-masculine left brain. Nevertheless, there is widely held belief that people use one side of their brain more than the other, and that this influences their personality traits. For example, left-brained people are said to be linear, logical and detail-oriented, while right-brained people are creative, caring and thoughtful.

What is Guerilla Psychology?

Keith Scott-Mumby

I Don’t know really. It’s a word that came to mind. It implies something tough, edgy, ingenious. For “guerilla psychology”, that maybe suggests a quick leap in, fix the issue and get out unharmed strategy. That would describe some of my cutting edge works in my ownTransformational Psychology. This week I released a slice of […]
