170 Million Life Years Lost To Cancer in 2008

Keith Scott-Mumby

When I was young, we used to laugh at those silly American statistics that some idiot took the trouble to work out. I remember one very vividly: every kiss takes 7 minutes off your life! Ah well, if you’ve got a slide rule and nothing better to do… (these days, of course, we could crunch […]

vitamins proven to significantly reduce cancer risk official

Keith Scott-Mumby

You’ll never see this again! I mean it will not be picked up by the media, especially in the USA. It seems multivitamins help prevent cancer. What? Haven’t we had it blasted in our faces for years that vitamins are a hoax; that they CAUSE cancer; that taking vitamins is just expensive pee; that vitamins might actually kill you? We’ve seen it all. And of course it’s orchestrated media lies. The trust is we need supplements in our modern world. The “balanced diet” baloney was never true, but even if it was, that only applied to an age gone by, when we were not living in a blizzard of toxic cancer-forming pollutants. Today, it’s a fact, that without lashings of antioxidants and significant supplements of basic nutrients like vitamins and minerals, YOU ARE AT RISK.

California Medical Board Honors Rights And Freedoms Of Integrative Doctors

Keith Scott-Mumby

This is such widescale good news, I have no hesitation in just re-posting Dr Rowen’s wonderful and exciting missive. I’m sure he has no issues with me helping tell the world! Read it! You’ll see why… Letter from an integrative medicine cancer specialist Well, I had a double blessing this weekend. The first was the indescribable joy of my daughter’s wedding to a wonderful man. Of course, that’s not what this email is about, though. It’s the second wonderful news, which I only learned, on the way home from the wedding. Many of you know that the widow of a cancer patient I saw about 2 years ago filed a complaint against my license. The patient was stage 4 colon cancer with considerable involvement in his liver and high liver enzymes. His oncologists, who told him that chemo would be worthless, had written him off. I did NOT promise anything at all, except to do the best I could to assist his immune system and hopefully improve the quality of his life. He was actually referred to me for IV vitamin C and integrative therapies. The couple specifically requested these from me. And, the wife signed all the informed consents as witness to her husband! In a best-case scenario, he only had months to live. The complaint alleged that I “abandoned” the patient, and provided “negligent care” leading to his death, more than 5 months after seeing me. Actually, the medical record showed that the wife called to cancel the appointment for her husband the day we (my wife and I) returned from a heavily announced trip to India. Why? Because they wanted to go to a place that took insurance. We don’t take insurance. And, they knew we were going to India even before they made the first appointment. It was provided to them in writing. During his three weeks with us, his physical condition improved. He got the IV-C while we were away, self-administered from intense training before we left.

Antioxidants Reduce The Risk Of Cancer By Two Thirds

Keith Scott-Mumby

While the crackpots and crooks in conventional medicine tell as that antioxidants, especially vitamins C and E, selenium and beta-carotenes, are dangerous and “cause” cancer, here’s a refreshing study that shows without question they are not, do not, and may well reduce the incidence of deadly pancreatic cancer by TWO THIRDS. Pancreatic cancer kills more than 250,000 people worldwide each year. Only 3 percent of people diagnosed with the disease live beyond five years. So anything with such a sensational effect is welcome. Genes, smoking and type 2 diabetes are all risk factors, but diet is believed to play a role as well. It’s true that conventional researchers are getting on the trail of diet as a cause of cancer. But they still don’t really get it. They are thinking in terms of factors in the diet which are “carcinogenic” (cancer causing). It’s what is NOT in the diet that’s carcinogenic! If there are no decent nutrients in the junk diet, how can the body have a healthy defence system and ward off what is really quite a common challenge to the body. Cancer cells, we know, are everywhere but easily mopped up on a daily basis by the immune system. Plus we know for sure that antioxidants prevent cancer and help in the fight against it, once established.

Bioactive Compound From The Maackia Tree Stalls Melanoma

Keith Scott-Mumby

An international team of scientists led by Gary Goldberg, PhD, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM), has found that a protein from the seeds of a plant used for centuries in traditional medicines may be able to halt the spread of melanoma, a lethal form of skin cancer. On average, melanoma kills one person nearly every hour in the USA, and many more in other countries. The American Cancer Society, with its usual breathtaking lies, claims the overall 5-year survival rate for melanoma is 91%. For localized melanoma, the 5-year survival rate is 98%. Now there may be a solution; a very simple solution at that. In fact, this new remedy kills or blocks the growth of many other cancers too.

Chemo Works Better With Grapefruit Juice

Keith Scott-Mumby

Not strange, maybe, but that fact that orthodox doctors were testing out grapefruit juice on cancer cases is little short of amazing! The study’s main finding was that grapefruit juice might allow treatment using smaller drug dosages, therefore reducing side effects and perhaps costs. Sirolimus (Rapamune) is an immunosuppressant and not approved as a cancer drug. Its primary use is to prevent rejection after kidney transplants. Some early studies suggest that sirolimus may have tumor-fighting effects. Derivatives of the drug are used in kidney cancer and breast cancer. But sirolimus has poor bioavailability, meaning it isn’t absorbed well and not much gets into the blood (14% or so). When grapefruit juice is taken concomitantly, absorption was much higher. Do as well as increasing the benefits of this drug, it could allow lower doses and hence cost saving.
